Storks, Ibises and Spoonbills of the World, Hancock et al, Academic Press 1992

Illustrated by Alan Harris and David Quinn

David Tomlinson, Country Life
"This sumptuous volume is the bargain bird book of the year, if not the decade...within its 392 pages is not only a complete and highly detailed account of the biology of the 19 storks, single shoebill, 23 ibises and six spoonbills, but also the most magnificent collection of paintings of these 49 species."

Dunnock Behaviour and Social Evolution, Davies, Oxford 1992

"David Quinn's exquisite drawings provide a visual summary of the birds' behaviour. All students of ecology, evolution, and animal behaviour will want to be familiar with this work, which addresses the wider issues of the influence of ecology on mating systems and the evolutionary significance of conflict within and between species."
