I've now worked all over the painting in a final push to bring it to completion.  I built up the bluebells with lots of brushstrokes, picking out details here and there to suggest a mass of flowers. To finish, I added the blackbird and took care to hide it among the shadows, although this photograph doesn't show that too well.
