I don't do many pure watercolour sketches or paintings. Painting on heavier papers appeals to me, and I do like the looser approach for sketching landscapes and seascapes. I find, now, that this is a medium to enjoy in it's pure form, and not as a means to achieve fiddly, detailed illustrative work.
